A very exciting, stressful and dynamic week as the students complete their PYP Exhibition checklist, build their stands and develop their experiential elements for their stands. There is soooooo much going on and every student has separate goals, jobs and actions to do to be fully ready for next week.

As with previous weeks, some children still have outstanding things that they need to make and create. So some will be asking for your help, support and time this weekend. Please assist where possible and help them to feel very successful come the final next Tuesday.

A polite reminder of the PYP Exhibition finale for family and friends on Tuesday, 10th February. We ask you to be there for a 4.45pm start outside the Mazoon. Outside there will be the student’s PYPX art gallery, so lots to see before the ABIS leadership will give a small speech, cut the ribbon and start the evening.

In this week’s Seesaw…

  • A video from your child talking about the finale and the experience that will await you.

Next Week…

  • Sunday and Monday will be dominated by setting up stands and the art gallery, communication practice, music rehearsals and some visiting classes to practice with and receive feedback from..
  • Tuesday will be a full on day with 4 different sessions throughout the school day – with 300-400 students (hopefully) attending the Exhibition space. Then, the big finale in the early evening for family and friends.
  • Wednesday will then be clearing up the Exhibition space and working out what artifacts the students want to keep as mementos and what can be recycled. We will also be reflecting on the Exhibition and compiling data to help and assist next year’s Exhibition class.

Please note that the G6 children will not go home after school on Tuesday 10th February. They will stay in the Grade 6 area (from 3pm until the start of the Exhibition) where we will stay together watching a movie or doing last minute set-up for our stands.

Have a great weekend and please reach out if you have any questions or queries about the Exhibition.
