Dear Parents,
This week in Kindergarten Physical Education, our KG2 students have been exploring movement by the beach during our wonderful Field Trip. They also focus on body awareness and the senses while playing outdoors.
Through guided discussions and games, the children reflected on the following questions:
- What senses do we use when playing outside?
- Can you think of a game where you need to listen carefully?
- How does running feel different from walking? Which senses help us notice this?
During our outdoor activities, students identified how sight helps them see where to move and where their friends are. Hearing supports careful listening to instructions, signals, and game cues. The children also explored how their breathing, heartbeat, and movement change when they walk versus when they run.
These experiences support the development of self-management skills, listening skills, and awareness of the body, all while enjoying active outdoor play.
Thank you for your continued support in encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle for our young learners.
Kind regards,
Ms. Nuria
