Dear Secondary Families

This week, we were pleased to appoint our new House Captains. Each of them has already shown great enthusiasm and commitment, and they will play an important role in supporting their houses throughout the remainder of the year. One of their first responsibilities will be helping prepare students for our Sports Day next week. They will be working closely with the PE teachers to organise teams, encourage participation, and make sure everyone is ready to take part. This is a wonderful leadership opportunity for them, and we look forward to seeing them support their houses with energy and positivity.

Sports Day itself is always a highlight of the year. It provides an excellent opportunity for students to come together in their houses to compete in a friendly but competitive atmosphere. The morning will feature a range of different activities and games designed to get everyone involved, while the afternoon will focus on the more traditional athletic events on the track. It is a day that really brings our school community together, showcasing teamwork, effort, and house spirit. We look forward to seeing our students give their best and enjoy a memorable day of sport and collaboration. We also look forward to seeing many of our parents enjoying the event with us. Thank you to those parents who are helping to supply the fresh fruit on the day!

After the success of our Primary Winter Concerts, we are now very much looking forward to the Secondary Concert on Monday 15th December from 4.00 – 5.00 pm. I have enjoyed going into class and seeing hard the students and Mr Camilo have been working to prepare. For Secondary Students, there will be no ASA’s on Monday. Primary ASA’s will run as normal.

If possible, please try and find time to read Mr Duncan’s post this week. It is another excellent example of how we are always looking for ways to connect our learning outside of the classroom.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Warm Regards,

Andy Cooper
