This week we have spent a number of hours preparing for the Winter Concert. The students are very proud of all the work they have done to build their musical skills and I hope that you enjoyed the product of all their hard work.

During our literacy time, we have build words using rhyming patterns, worked on our writing skills and participated in group guided reading lessons, shared reading and independent reading. Please support your child in reading at least 20 minutes in English everyday, they now have access to Epic until 4.00 pm Monday through Friday and can always access RAZKids.

For maths this week, we have reinforced our place value understanding creating writing numbers in a variety ways, such as using Base 10 blocks or writing in expanded form. We are continuing to build our number fluency in knowing number bonds to 20.

In our UOI this week, we have labelled our home designs with the types of materials we might find in a particular biome. Some groups have been able to begin work on their research report by answering questions about their home: how it is connected to the environment and how it will provide for the needs and wants of a family.

Please see photos here.
