It is incredible to think that just 9 weeks ago, I first met my young students who have since developed at a fast pace. They have delighted and challenged me, learnt both independence and collaboration whilst always being open- minded and willing to try new activities and explore new things.
This week we have been working on vowel sounds and many students are able to recognise and blend sounds to read CVC words, doing this by themselves or in pairs to help each other out. They enjoyed making their own work activity for this.
They continue to make good choices when selecting appropriate activities to extend Maths, thinking, phonic and manipulative skills. Many children are continuing to help their friends record their work and uploading to Seesaw or, better still, teaching their friend how to do this for themselves. We have some caring and patient children.
I went along to see the class in P.E. this week and was proud when Mr Gino said they knew their own teams and get organised independently. They could also show me a game they had learnt where they needed to help their team and friends.
It is very exciting to see how much they have learnt and improved in all different ways over the last weeks. They have worked hard and deserve a wonderful week of holiday. Best wishes to everyone!
