We are continuing to focus on working together and sharing in all areas of the curriculum and during the day. In the morning during Carpet- time, we do a quick Pair and Share to talk about our news, ask each other questions or tell our friend our understanding of a new idea.

Maths and Phonic games and activities continue to be a student- choice. I am encouraged to see different pairs of students choosing to work together and ask to have their photograph taken as this shows pride in completion of the task. We observe who works hard and encourage others to join in or pair together if they need some support.

We often have an active “brain- break” after carpet sessions and this gives us the chance to move our bodies, stretch and be energised for the next learning session. This week children also tried some yoga poses to help calm down and focus after a very busy lunch play. Students are giving each other permission to hold hands or work together in one of the songs and this promotes kind hands!
