Dear KG2 Families,
We are happy to share with you our first broadcast for the month of October! As always, our classroom is full of fun and meaningful learning experiences. 🌟
In our Unit of Inquiry “Who We Are”, we have been exploring emotions. This week, the children started working on their “My Feelings Booklet.” Each day they had the chance to color their feeling monster and with support from adults record the reason for their emotion. It is wonderful to see our little learners beginning to recognize and explain their feelings. We will continue building on this important learning.
In Mathematics, we focused on the number 5 with the phrase: “One down, fat belly, and a hat on the top—hello Mr. 5!” We also began learning about sequencing daily events using the words before and after. To support understanding, we used photos, as we believe pictures are a powerful tool for learning.
In Literacy, we revised the letters s, a, t, p and practiced writing them. The children also continued working on writing their names with teacher support.

We wish you a happy and restful weekend!
