This week, we explored how we grow and change over time.
Using photos of themselves as babies and toddlers, the children reflected on what they can do now that they could not do as babies. They talked about the different stages of growing up and shared changes they have noticed in themselves. Their answers included things like being able to walk, run, and play, eating by themselves, and even enjoying ice cream.

As part of our reflection, the children drew pictures showing “What I can do now that I couldn’t do as a baby.” They also dictated their ideas about the new things they can do today. Together, we discussed how some things, like walking, were once difficult but became easy with practice — and that things that feel hard now will also become easier if they keep trying.

Learner Profile Focus: Reflective – The children thought about their own journey of growing and changing, recognizing how much they have developed over time.
