Dear Parents,
This week in Kindergarten PE has been truly exciting with the start of our swimming lessons! I was so impressed by the children’s confidence in the water at such a young age—it made me feel very proud of them.
During our first lesson, we focused on safety in the pool environment, highlighting how important it is to listen carefully to the coaches and teacher and to follow instructions. The children practiced walking in a line and sitting by the pool edge, trying simple kicking from there, laying on their bellies to kick, and then sliding safely into the water.
We also saw many risk-takers bravely trying to blow bubbles in the water, and it was so rewarding to see smiles all around the pool.
Friendly Reminder:
Please make sure your child brings all the necessary items for swimming:
- Compulsory swim cap
- Compulsory swim goggles
- One-piece swimsuit (for girls)
- Swim trunks or shorts (for boys)
- Flip-flops
- Towel
- A full set of changing clothes
- Wet bag
Alongside swimming, we oriented our first PE lessons around balance and fun games to help students begin understanding how to play collaboratively. It was a joyful start, and I am looking forward to seeing their skills and confidence grow even more in the coming weeks!
Warm regards,
Ms. Nuria
