Dear Secondary Families
It has been great to be back in school this week after my knee surgery. Working from home was a reminder of our Covid Days and the role that technology plays in allowing us to do so. There is clearly no substitute though for being in school and interacting with students, teachers and parents.
Secondary Open Classrooms
Following on from our successful Primary Open Classrooms, I am pleased to now confirm the details for Secondary. This will take place on Wednesday 4th June from 8.00 am – 10.00 am. I will be available throughout this time in the LC3 Cafe for coffee and questions. We ask all parents to meet initially in the cafe and then you will have the opportunity to visit the following lessons;
G7 – Music 8.20 – 9.20 Mr Camilo

G8A – Maths 8.20 – 9.20. Mr Ferdi A
Design 9.20 -10.00 Mr Marek
G8B – Design 8.20 – 9.20 Mr Marek

G9 – English 8.20 – 9.00 Ms Peters (G8 space)
PHE 9.00 – 10.00 Mr Fernando (Sports Hall)
We would like to give parents an opportunity to come and observe the teaching and learning that takes place in our Secondary School and get a better understanding of the MYP. It is especially important for our Grade 6 Parents who will have an opportunity to see MYP in practice and gain a better understanding of the differences from PYP. We look forward to welcoming you!
Summer Book Fair
Following the success of our earlier Book Fair with DC Books, we are excited to announce a Summer Book Fair, which will run from May 26th to May 29th. English and Arabic language books will be available, and we hope this will be a great chance to stock up on reading material for the summer break. More details to follow soon!
