Dear KG2 Families,
We’re happy to share a little glimpse of what your children have been up to this week!
We’ve started our new Unit of Inquiry: How We Express Ourselves. This week, we explored how stories can be shared through art. The children created their own “story hats” by thinking of a simple moment they wanted to share, drawing it on a hat-shaped paper, and decorating it with colors. With a little help from adults, they assembled their hats and proudly wore them while telling their stories to the class. It was so lovely to see the variety of stories they shared and how each child brought their own personality to their drawings. This activity encouraged creativity, confidence, and communication.
In numeracy, we focused on 2D shapes—learning their names, what they look like, and how to describe them.
For literacy, we introduced the letter “V.” The children practiced identifying words that begin with the /v/ sound and worked on forming the letter “V” through fun and engaging activities.
As for our art and craft time, the children made their own paper vases—one of the highlights of the week!

As we look ahead to next week, just a gentle reminder about the upcoming Student-Led Conference. Don’t forget to sign up for your meeting slot!
Warm regards,
