Welcome back and Happy 2025 to everyone!
Grade 1A had a great start back to school on Monday and were so happy to see each other and share holiday news. They settled back into school routine smoothly and tried hard to remember our agreements.
On Tuesday we had our second Grade One trip which was very exciting! We visited the beach at Sangar Park. We are continuing to learn about Our Earth so we looked carefully at what the beach was made of and noticed how the sea is always moving. We did observational drawings and sample collection of sand and shells to examine at school. We wondered if the sea ever stops and how it changes the land.
Students were very excited to go in the water and really enjoyed jumping over the waves and splashing in the sea together. There were some very impressive constructions, digging, water pools and castles built. Then we had lunch and some time to play in the park. Students were generally very responsible for their own belongings and behaved so well in a public place. I enjoyed this day with my class.
It was a fantastic trip!
