Dear ABIS Community,
This past week, our MYP students had an active time in Physical and Health Education (PHE).
In Grade 7, students have been focused on developing their basketball skills through a variety of drills and small-sided games.
Grade 8 students chose to explore handball, where they are learning various skills and techniques to apply in small-sided games. Their assessments will focus on their ability to execute a range of skills and techniques during performance situations.
Meanwhile, Grade 9 students are delving into the systems used in basketball. This week, they collaborated with their teammates to decide on the offensive and defensive systems they would use in 5v5 games.
Grade 10 has also opted to start with handball and will learn about different strategies and tactics for success in the sport.
ABIS will host an inter-school basketball tournament on November 12-13, 2024, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Two local schools have confirmed their participation. More details will follow soon.
