Dear Secondary Families

Today’s Professional Development Day has really emphasised how the school staff embody lifelong learning.  Teachers have been working on our Program Development Plan. This is part of our preparatory work for the upcoming IB Evaluation visit, scheduled for January 2026. The focus of the day was strategies for teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) to our students. It was wonderful to see teachers teaching teachers by providing a variety of different workshops. They all came together to conduct research and share best practice. The day concluded with teachers coaching each other to help determine what their focus and strategies would be this academic year.

Thank you to the Grade 7 parents who joined us for the Parent Support Workshop last night. That was another good example of lifelong learning and I hope that the session was informative and useful.

Tomorrow we will be hosting our first Nautilus Swim Meet of this season. We are expecting a record attendance of approximately 200 swimmers, with the majority traveling up from Muscat! It is always a great day and we love the opportunity to showcase our outstanding facilities. The first race is scheduled for 9.30 am and we would love for you to come and join us.

Have a lovely weekend.
