Dear KG2 Families,

We are excited to share the wonderful learning happening in our class this week!

This week in Language, we focused on the letter “I”. The children learned the letter’s name and sound, and we explored words that start with “I.” They had a great time making an **ice cream** craft to connect with the letter! We are also practicing “name writing” daily, and we’re proud of the progress our young learners are making.

Also on math we learned about the number “5”. The children practiced writing it and learned a fun way to remember: “a straight line, a big belly, and a hat on top—Hello, Mr. 5!” We also used clay and collage to show what the number 5 means.

In our Unit Of Inquiry “Who We Are” We reading the story “Kelso the Frog’s Big Day” to introduce “Kelso’s Choices”, which helps the children understand how to make good choices when solving problems. We also read “The Rabbit Listened” to teach the importance of listening when someone speaks. The children made “listening ears” as part of this activity to reinforce how we can be good communicators by listening carefully to others.

Thank you for your support! We’ve included some photos from this week’s activities. Have a wonderful weekend with your families!

Warm regards,

Ms.AlJabri & Ms.Maryam
