Most students have completed publishing their ‘Day at the Beach personal narrative and you should now be able to read or listen to your child’s story on Seesaw. There are a few students who need more time to finish their writing, so if you don’t see your child’s work, it should be uploaded next week. Many students have begun writing their second personal narrative: ‘My Rockin’ Road Trip’ so next week you should see some of these on Seesaw also. There have been many challenges in this writing process to get to the final draft and publish our writing.

We are finishing up our mental and written addition and subtraction within 100. For the last couple of weeks we’ll continue practising these new skills, as well as, participating in some investigative maths.

Please pay attention to the weather – it has gotten extremely hot and the students are outside before school and during the early morning playtime. Please remind your child to pack a hat to wear for walking or playing outside.

We have a very busy week planned for next week: an art exhibition, the Grade3 bake sale, Comic Con with Grade 5 and our performance on the 6th June.

Please see below for websites which can spark your creativity for summer plans. We have used Topmarks in class for consolidating and practising our understandings in maths; however, there are links for other subjects on that site also. Your child should also have access to RAZKids over the summer so they can continue growing their reading skills and comprehension to be ready for Grade 3.
