This week we have continued our work in adding and subtraction within 100 using mental and written strategies. In addition, we have worked on some foundational skills with place value and understanding the relationship between addition and subtraction.
The class has continued working on personal narratives. We have worked on the writingprocess: brainstorm ideas, write and draw a first draft. When they finish one piece, they start on another piece. After writing several pieces, they select one to publish. The selected piece is then edited and published.
The students finished writing their reader’s theater’s scripts. They started practicing to perform them in front of our class. We will record their performances and share them on seesaw.
