This week in mathematics, our young learners have been honing their skills in addition and subtraction, tackling sums up to 50 with enthusiasm. They’ve also been mastering the art of telling time on both digital and analog clocks, confidently identifying whole and half hours. Additionally, they’ve been exploring measurement by comparing and measuring the lengths of various objects in our learning environment.
In literacy, our focus has been on reinforcing Magic Words, with special attention given to our OI and OY special friends. Through engaging activities, our students are strengthening their reading skills while having fun with language.
At the heart of our approach is fostering a spirit of inquiry and discovery. Grade 1 students thrive in our station-based learning environment, as seen in the photos shared below. These stations provide hands-on opportunities for exploration and learning across various subjects.
