This week, we practiced acts of kindness by making kindness cards for a friend in the class and giving the card with a small chocolate to a friend. We also used this opportunity to practice our communication skills by giving the card to our friend in front of the rest of the class. We looked at some of our organs and our skeleton. The students were interested in learning about their hearts, lungs, brains, and skeletons and enthusiastically shared their new knowledge with the class. Below are some links to these songs. We focussed on the E sound this week and writing the letter E. We started to read a story as a class and will continue with this story next week. When we went to the library, the students requested that I read “Groovy Joe” to them. It is one of their favorite stories; they know parts of it by heart. They will also take the book and read it to themselves in class. We continued in math to learn about length and working with numbers. We also went to the Mazoon to practice our assembly on stage.
