I trust this message finds you well. I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the status of our school’s main swimming pool. As many of you are aware, we have been facing significant challenges with the pool, and we have been diligently working to address these issues.
After a comprehensive and lengthy analysis of the main swimming pool, I am pleased to inform you that the source of the leakages has been identified. This process involved extensive civil engineering works, collaboration with specialized companies, and careful consideration of the best approach to rectify the situation.
The main highlights of the repair process are as follows:
- Complex Operation: The analysis process was highly complex and involved the expertise of engineers, a specialized company experienced in the removal of heavy concrete, and another company for pressure testing and internal diagnostics of all pipes and more. This was essential to access and assess the underlying issues accurately.
- Replacement of Pool Pipes: To address the leakage issue comprehensively, we will be replacing all the pool pipes. This step is crucial to ensure the long-term integrity of the pool.
- New Concrete Floor: After the replacement of pool pipes, a new concrete floor surrounding the pool will be installed. This will be followed by tiling, ensuring a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for our students.
The company contracted for this repair work has provided an estimate that it will take approximately four weeks (beginning this week) to complete these tasks as the installation of the new pipes then flooring is a complex and comprehensive process. Please note that this estimate is contingent on any unforeseen complications that may arise during the repair process.
I sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this intensive operation to ensure that our main pool is fit for purpose once again.
