Dear Families

Thank you to those who were able to attend our first Parent-Teacher coffee morning this week. It was lovely to chat with each of you and answer some of your questions. Working in partnership with home and school is one of the most effective tools to promote learning. We are investigating other opportunities for those who may not be able to attend at this time. As discussed, we are also looking at potential parent workshops and will be in touch soon with possible options.

I would like to remind all of our Secondary Parents about access to ManageBac. This is our online learning platform where you can access a variety of information to keep you informed about your child’s learning. We will be sending a reminder and instruction sheet next week for those who may not be currently using the platform.

Today our Grade 11 students organised the first House Competition of this academic year. Instead of sport, they worked in their teams to complete an online activity called ‘Oregon Trail’. They had to complete a virtual journey and undertake a variety of different activities. It was great to see them working together and demonstrating many of their Approaches To Learning (ATL’s). House Competitions will continue to be planned by students every four weeks.

Finally, I would like to remind everybody that next Thursday 21st September is a teacher professional development day and school will therefore be closed for students.

I wish everybody a great weekend!
