Grade 9 Art students began their IGCSE course by learning about how art work is assessed, and are now studying and practicing core skills and techniques. Here they are finding out how one isolated visual element, line, can be used with as much variation as possible to interpret any motif in an imaginative way and give it personal expression. First-hand observation of motifs is a fundamental requirement in IGCSE art, and students at this entry stage will move on to explore their observations of different motifs through a wide range of materials and techniques.
