Dear all,
The students have been working very hard on their “Sharing the Planet” Unit of Inquiry Presentations this week. We would like to cordially invite you to come see their presentations on Sunday June 18, 2023 from 8:30-10:00 am. If you’re able to make it on Sunday I’m sure the students would greatly appreciate it. I would like you all to see them exhibit and share in English what they have been learning. The presentations will be held in the Grade 4 classroom area and the Library. If you know your student will be absent on Sunday please let Mrs. Suad, or myself know so that we can rearrange the group presentations accordingly.
Tuesday I sent home the WIDA English Assessment results with your child to be signed and returned to Mrs. Suad the following day. The reason I did this was because I wanted you to see how much your student and actually all of the students in my class grew and advanced in almost all of the tested categories (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Oral Language, etc.) from the September assessment to the June assessment . The students in my class all made significant academic achievements in English as this test will show! The EAL teacher Mrs. Viviana said she was so happy to see that the students in my class had all improved so much and she even mentioned this to the administration. I would like to thank you and the students for partnering with me this year to reach this goal!
Next week will be the final week of school! Please remind students to prepare this weekend for their Sunday presentations by reviewing their notes and the outline of their presentations. Students must have the information memorized and be able to speak confidently and with clear understanding of their topic. Lastly, please remind students to bring their iPads, earphones, and come ready to learn and be on their best behavior next week.
