End of year assessments have been taking place for Grade 5 students this week. The looks of concentration are phenomenal!  They have had reading, writing, maths, and problem solving assessments! These are to show what they know, and to reflect on how much they have grown as readers, writers, and mathematicians, and just how much their learning has progressed during Grade 5. Well done for getting through these guys!

With only 2 weeks of school to go for this school year, we have lots of things to look forward to. The Great Grade 5 Cook Off 2023 will take place on Monday 12th June, the ABIS Music Concert will be happening on Wednesday 12th June, and we have many more things planned for us to enjoy our end of year together in Grade 5.

This week students have been working in their food teams to plan their shopping lists and revise recipes and menus. We will be shopping for the ingredients at Lulus on Monday morning and cooking up a storm on Monday afternoon. Thank you parents for all of your support in the run up to this. We have had many tasty treats brought in to test from trial runs of the recipes!

Assessments are over! Have a lovely and relaxing weekend with your families and friends.

Best wishes, G5 Team.
