Grade 7 Art students have recently started a new project on Medieval art, which parallels topics they are studying currently in Humanities. They are working towards creating grotesques in clay, and so are exploring ideas to design them first. To do so, they tried draw their own faces, normally, and then to see how much those images could be distorted pulled the most grotesque faces they could and then tried to draw themselves like that. Here are some pictures – but I am not sure now whether these are of them looking normal! What do you think?
