What a brilliant week! I thought the best way to round off the week was to ask the kids themselves what they liked best about Oman Week. Here are their answers.
FEY LADYBIRDS
Lawrence: My favourite thing today was I caught some fish. I can’t see them in the water. I put a net in. Kristof: I liked the fish and catching them. I liked the swimming. Anwaar: I liked the horse riding the other day because I like horses. I jumped in the wadi and I jumped very high into the water. Alyah: I loved the horse because they are pretty. I liked swimming. Sien: I liked the horse, because I could ride them. I liked the big splash in the water and I liked swimming.
FEY BUMBLEBEES
Nurais: I liked throwing water at Miss Marie. Rinad: I liked playing with the water and going deep in the water. Sheyaa: I jumped deep into the water. I tickled Nurais. Sem: I liked swimming in the water and catching some fish! Ammar: I liked swimming in the wadi.
K3
Eshal: This week I liked best funny wooden puppets that we made at Late Stay, and I liked the camels. I liked them because they rode slowly, and I liked the park.
Ali: This week I liked the camel farm because I liked riding the camel and the camels have funny mouths.
Chloe: I liked the camel farm because it was scary. The daddy camel and he had his tongue out and it was scary. Scary in a good way. It gave us a fright. I liked riding the camels. The first time I was scared and the second time I wasn’t.
Grade 1
Daniella: The best thing about this week was I liked to go to the wadi, at the hot springs. I liked that because we swam and we had icecream. I also liked to do the sewing crafts because I learned how to sew and make kummars.
Rawan: I liked the hot springs and Nakhl Fort because when we finished hot springs we had the icecream and in Nakhl Fort there were so many Omani things. I also like Wadi Jizzi Dam because we saw foot prints of animals. We saw sheep and there were too many caterpillars. That was really interesting.
Grade 2
Tayma: I liked when we climbed the mountains because we were climbing. We saw rocks and they were special because they had colourful colours. I learned the rocks come from the volcano, some of the rocks. I liked when we went to the sleepover. It was fun because we were sleeping and watching movies.
Grade 3
Natalie: I really liked when we went to the wadi and caught frogs.
I also enjoyed when we roasted marshmallows.
Grade 4
Orjwan: I liked when we went to the Children’s Museum, because they had lots of things and we could touch everything.
Aaima: I liked the hike best of all because I have never been so challenged in climbing mountains plus it was great exercise and there were so many slides and smooth rocks and we could slide down the rocks and we discovered so many things. I don’t think anything could be better than this week!
Grade 5
Taya: My favorite thing of all was the banana boating at the Millennium because it was a challenge for me because I don’t really like the ocean.
Grade 6
Abhishek: :My favorite activity in this Oman week is when we did the sailing ourselves because it was challenging to me because it was windy and it was hard to steer the boat when we were about to crash into someone.
Grade 8
Gabriel: this week i went diving it was fun and a different experience from just swimming in water.
Grade 9
Andee: What I liked about this week was getting a chance to learn something new. Having to go through new skills and fun activities, that I never would have guessed I would have done. For example abseiling was really really fun, I also liked that I got to eat delicious fish. Most of all I really liked being able to do those activities with my friends.
As I type, grade seven is still on their way in on the camels, so we will save their thoughts for later….
Have a wonderful week off, everyone!
