We have some very smart mathematicians in Grade Three. As you know we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. As time has progress we have started to learn about complementary angles – angles that add up to 90 degrees. The children have displayed some of this work on their websites.
We are also learning to add and subtract numbers with renaming and regrouping.

We have finished reading our serial story The Indian in the Cupboard. We have completed Venn Diagrams to compare two of the characters in the story and the children are currently working on a comic strip to share their favourite parts of the story. I have ordered the movie from the states so hopefully it arrives safely!

As a part of our assessment of our unit of inquiry on water the children were asked to complete a poplet on the iPad showing the ways they can conserve water.
