This week and last, we’ve been working hard on graphing our weather data and using our graphs to find patterns and make weather predictions. For the summative assessment task, students made 2 graphs from their weather data They then were asked to find a pattern or trend in their graphs, make a weather prediction for the next day, and inform us of one positive effect and one negative effect of their weather prediction. Students were recorded during their mini weather forecast, we will hopefully have these videos on student websites soon!

Next week we will be starting our new UOI: Drama – How We Express Ourselves. We spent some time yesterday making new table teams, new team names and new roles and responsibilities in each team. Our new table teams are…. Dolphins, Gigantosauruses, T-Rexes, and Cheetahs. As a class we then decided on which jobs we think are most important in a team and that will help each team to learn at the best of their abilities. Homework
We have finished UOI 2 and students have achieved some of their goals. If they have a green star beside their goal, they must finish writing about how they achieved their goal. Bananas will be given out on Sunday! All students worked really hard during this UOI and displayed some really good research skills and thinking skills! We are also becoming more independent learners every day! Have a wonderful weekend.
