Several grades finished off their topics this week and will be preparing for topic tests next week. In terms of practical work, grade 7 continued with light and optics and had the opportunity to experience the power of the sunlight energy using magnifying glasses, grade 8 experienced the reactivity of the group I elements, grade 9 discovered how the enzyme amylase digests starch and grade 11 prepared a standard curve to figure out reducing sugar concentrations using a colorimetric method.
Nothing like the smell of practical work in the morning to lift your Science spirits high!!
