G6 is almost ready to start our next Unit of Inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme of How The World Works.
Our Central Idea is Understanding the scientific principles behind flight required ingenuity and inquiry and our Lines Of Inquiry are The Scientific Principles of Flight, The History Of Human Flight, and Using The Scientific Method To Understand Flight .
Over the next 6 weeks, we’ll be learning about how a 747 (which can weigh in at nearly a million pounds) can suspend itself in the air, and about how human ingenuity and inquiry led humankind to master the science of flight.
