Grades 3-6 have been investigating the form and function of nonfiction texts over the past two weeks. Students have been identifying nonfiction text features as well as deciding how each of those can help us to become better readers of nonfiction. I have seen students work collaboratively. I have seen students be independent learners and seek out answers to their questions by using the resources available to them in the library classroom.
