Grade 4 has been thoroughly enjoying our shared book. We started by reading “The Paw Thing” by Paul Jennings and we are now reading the sequel “Singenpoo Strikes Again”. It’s the story of a young boy and his amazing cat Singenpoo, who can read. Not only do the children enjoy being read to, it’s a great way for them to be introduced to different authors. When we last read, Singenpoo had been entered into a reading competition with a dog called Mungo. Will Singenpoo win? Will Scott get to keep his beloved cat?
Our new Unit of Inquiry focuses on heroes and role models. As part of our inquiry we read a great book called “The Cool Bean” which looked at how small kindnesses can make a difference to people’s lives.
