Tempus fugit is the Latin phrase roughly meaning ‘time is flying’ and we seem to be accelerating towards the end of the year. Today, we sadly had to say goodbye to Leah Norrish, who is returning to the UK. We wish both Leah and her family all the best for the future.

We have already received confirmation on a number of new students joining the Secondary School next year, which will mean that we should have more students than we do presently. In addition, the current Grade 6 will be moving up to the secondary school and entering Grade 7, whilst our current Grade 11 will move on up into 12. This will be the first year that the school will have a Grade 12. We are currently exploring ways to enhance our curriculum and make sure that everything is in place for the new arrivals.

The primary focus this week in the Secondary School has been study skills. As Grade 8, 9 and 11 have exams in just over a week, it is really important for them to be prepared – This week’s featured attachment is a copy of a document we are using with the students. In terms of how to support best at home, please just make sure they get plenty of sleep and no distractions when they are studying.

Grade 10 leave for India on a CAS trip in the early hours of Saturday morning. This will be a completely different experience to anything that they have ever had. We wish them all the best for the trip.

Have an enjoyable weekend!
