We celebrated our year in Grade 3, with a class Talent Show on Tuesday afternoon. The variety of talents shared ranged from drawing and music to puppet shows, dancing and go carting. The show proved to be highly entertaining as well as inspiring.

Thanks to Floris’ performance some of us found out what Beat Boxing is. It turns out this is a way of creating sound effects mainly using your mouth and this is combined with actions.

Noelle treated us to the ‘real’ version of Little Red Riding Hood. Did you know that Red Riding Hood’s Grandma loves cookies so much she would never share them?
One of our creative challenges this week was to turn the squiggle in each rectangle into a mini artwork.

Look what these artists in our class did with the squiggle.

We invited many of the special people who have helped us this year to pop into our homeroom to allow us the chance to say ‘Thank you’ and ‘Happy Holiday,’ and also ‘Goodbye’ to some.
Mr Isles’ visits to our class are always surprising and dare I say, a little crazy. Although he arrived in class with a paper bag mask, the students instantly recognized him and found ways to join in the wackiness.

I felt very proud of the maturity individual students showed in giving a little speech to our guests when they visited. It is always good to show appreciation.
It was exciting to receive this years yearbook and students were grateful to have these delivered to their door in some cases. The students shared their favourite photos. Students had created their own digital Yearbook memory page earlier in the week and it was fun finding similarities. Twins Day was definitely a favourite day this year.

Now it is time to show my own appreciation.

Firstly I would like to thank the hard working, talented and cheerful group of students we have had in Grade 3 this year. Thank you for trying your best, smiling and keeping going even when learning something new was a bit challenging. Working with you has brought immense joy every single day.
I feel very grateful for the chance to come and teach at ABIS. The past 5 and a half years have flown by. It has been my absolute privilege teaching the special children we have at ABIS and getting to know the families over the years. Thank you for welcoming me to Oman and into the ABIS community. I am also thankful for the opportunity to work with so many caring and talented staff members. I wish each one of you the very best for the future.
The ABIS learning pact has always resonated with me. I plan to continue challenging myself, involving myself and being my best, and I hope the students I have taught will too.
