Dear parents,

Due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the Supreme Committee yesterday announced that all schools must close and students learn online from next Sunday. This was disappointing news given we have done so well in maintaining our safety and health protocols. However, it is important to keep everyone safe during these challenging times.

In the past few weeks we began planning for Ramadan and given the number of students who will be practicing fasting, we decided to shorten the day to 2pm. As we are near to Ramadan, it is best to start our online learning using the new timetable. From next Wednesday 7 April, classes will finish at 2pm. Please see your child’s timetable and class links by going here:

Please do reacquaint yourselves with the content found on your child’s grade level page. There is useful information of good practices and what to expect when your child engages in distance learning.

This week was great fun as the students and teachers dressed up on different days according to the theme of the day. Thank you to everyone for engaging and taking part!

This afternoon I visited a number of classes and had four main messages for the students: 1. Stay engaged and motivated in your online learning. 2. If you need help/someone to talk to, don’t be afraid to reach out to your parents, friends, class advisors. 3. Stay in touch with your friends. 4. Stay healthy, eat well, sleep well, and exercise. I told them that we would miss them on campus, it has been a precious and wonderful time for us all in having the students at school.

This is a long weekend and I wish you all a safe and relaxing break.

All the best,

Dominic Robeau
