We thought of many different ways to celebrate Oman’s 50th National Day. We enjoyed dressing in National dress or the colours of the Omani flag and some people made decorations too.

We enjoyed painting watermelon slices using water colours and experimented with creating light and darker shades.

Some of us took up the challenge of creating a mini water cycle in a plastic bag. We monitored it as the water heated to see the water cycle in action.

To conclude our inquiry into Natural Resources we took a virtual field trip around part of the school to discover how ABIS recycles water. Mr Paul made awesome videos for those of us online. Ms Khadija taught us about the ancient Aflaj systems of Oman that are still in use today. And we have created our own slogans with the messages we want people to know about water as a natural resource.

It has been another busy and exciting week in Grade 3. Here are a few more pictures of our learning activities.
