Dear parents,

I am pleased to announce that I have now arrived in Sohar, as has Maeve Doherty. I travelled from Indonesia and arrived on Thursday and Maeve travelled from Canada and arrived here on Saturday evening. Due to government requirements, we will both be in home isolation for two weeks; however, it is wonderful to finally be here! We are looking forward to meeting you all when we go back to school face to face. If you happen to see either of us out and about (after two weeks) do say hello.

Our new teachers are still overseas but we are now confident that their visas will be issued soon. We look forward to welcoming them to our school community in person.

On other news, if you haven’t already, please do take the parent survey: click here.

We have submitted our plans for returning to school to the Ministry of Education. The plan includes all the protocols and procedures that will be in place for when the school opens. The plan was created in consultation with health experts and meets all Ministry requirements. I will be sharing this plan in full once the Ministry gives it their approval.

There is a new webpage for our Early Childhood Centre:  click here   Do take a look, with its information and new video, I am sure you will find it interesting.  Applications for admission are being taken.

Finally, a reminder that next week is our Autumn break: Sunday October 18 – Thursday October 22. School resumes again on Sunday October 25. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Kind regards,

Dominic Robeau
