Stephen Curry, writing in Time Magazine and talking about what we as humans need to be focusing on during this, still happening pandemic, said, “We have a unique opportunity to come together, to bridge humanity; and the future of our world depends on” what we do next.” For many of us we are waiting for the end of what has been feeling like an endless and confining summer. This summer has defied our expectations.

The long days have brought a big share of anxiety, boredom, and a sense of loss. Some of us have been impacted more than others. I feel fortunate now for the stability that a new school year offers. I am certainly well rested as summer comes to its long-awaited end. I’ve been so proud of myself that for the first time in years I’ve been maintaining a running schedule all summer.

I work and plan now with the expectation of seeing all of our students soon – even from a computer screen. Our MYP authorization visit is scheduled for next month where we get to show to the IB all we have done to become an IB Continuum School.

Enjoy these last calm days of rest before we kick off our school year.
