I am excited about the new academic yer, as I am sure all of you are, too. Our new teachers have been meeting this week for our orientation to ABIS, conducted online of course. It is a good year to have your children at ABIS… we have really done well with hiring some very talented and experienced teachers. Of course, you already know the many fabulous teachers who are returning, most of who will be joining us for pre-service orientation next week as well.

I am very sad to share that Ms. Rachel Howes will be unable to return to ABIS for the coming academic year. This is a real loss for our community; as you all know, she has committed endless hours to getting to know our kids. I am optimistic that we will be able to get her back in the future.

Do not worry, however, as we have been blessed to find a fantastic new French teacher who is highlighted in the new biographical page (New Secondary Staff Intro 2020). Her name is Ty Lougher (pronounced “Tie Locker”) and she comes with many years of experience and passion with French.

Also, rest assured that Mr. Howes will be joining us for the new year, returning in his role as English teacher and Pastoral Care Coordinator.

As we get more information regarding the details for the first day of school, we will be sure to share through broadcaster and our NewsFlash.

Sincerely, Jon Adams
