Mona, Zhayne and Omar read a book this week about the sense of smell which described how to conduct a food smell test. They followed the instructions and brought along a variety of different foods to see if a few students could identify the foods using only their sense of smell.
A good deal of fun was had in the preparations, by the participants and the audience. This could lead to designing tests using the other senses.
In class students in Grade 2 have been creative this week in making masks or props, or illustrating part of the setting for the plays they will perform next week. They have certainly been working diligently with Ms Markin to create the plays and are looking forward to performing them next Thursday.
