This week we visited the farm and made a temporary home for the school tortoise. While we were studying the tortoise many of the students called him a turtle. This led to an important discussion and questions. What is a turtle and what is a tortoise. To inquire into this we needed to compare both. We later extended this inquiry and explored other animals that live in the ocean like fish, dolphins and jelly fish.
