Following the screening of the movie, we had a very interesting discussion the next morning. One of the questions I raised with the class was if they preferred the movie or the book. A majority felt they preferred the book. The reason, in their own words was, ” when you read the book to us we had to imagine everything. But we didn’t have to imagine anything when we watched the movie and that made it a bit less interesting.” Please read to your children as often as you can. They are never too old to be read to.
