Grade fives participated in the water bottle challenge, where students were asked to bring in used plastic water bottles from home rather than just throwing them away. While our class didn’t win the challenge, they discussed how they used water bottles at home. They realized that their families use more reusable large bottles, and that was why we didn’t have as many as other classes. We are proud that we reduce the amount of bottles we use.
Afterwards students used the water bottles with a craft project, that will culminate in a sculpture made out of bottles.
