We have been reading Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fangand we have enjoyed it a lot so far. There are certainly some very interesting characters and events that really get us talking! One thing we are talking about is what we think about the characters and their actions. This is a great time to practice our evaluation skills.

When we evaluate a character we need to explain not only what but also why</em we think it.

It is important to remember that Our “why” must connect with our “what”. Giving evidence from the story to explain our opinions really shows how well we understand a story. It is a great way to extend our reading at home! We practiced in class and put it on our websites, have a look!
