Do you like cats or dogs? Why do you think that? On Wednesday the class had the opportunity to express an opinion by standing somewhere on a line from “Cats are best” to “Dogs are best”. The mid point said “I like cats and dogs equally”.

We discovered that opinions are personal and therefore not right or wrong. We also found out that our opinions are shaped by personal experience. Someone preferred cats because they had been chased by a dog.

This was an introduction to persuasive writing, which we are going to start talking about after the break.
