Most of the Grade 6s were back from holidays feeling refreshed and ready to learn. Students were happy to see their friends again and talk about their holidays.
We spent the week planning for our Oman Week camp experience, reflecting on the past term, finishing of our novel The Clay Marble and preparing for the assembly. Tariq, Kate and Amsyar did a great job as our first presenters of 2018. George, Hector and Sergio managed the technology support without a hitch in the new building-Mazoon.
Students played one of their favorite games in French this week with Ms. Caroline.

Our Arabic/Islamic students continue to enjoy their lessons from Ms. Sahar.

It is with great sadness that we said farewell to Jesmika this week. She is returning to South Africa with her family. We will all miss her very much and wish her the very best. As a treat on Thursday Jesmika’s family brought in pizza for the students and teachers.

After being awarded her ABIS medal, we finished off the day with a final game of 4-square with Jesmika.

With change brings new opportunities. As we say “goodbye” to Jesmika, we say “hello” to the new student joining our class on Monday. I know the students will be excited to meet her and will go out of their way to make her feel welcome.
Enjoy your weekend!
