As well as visiting the mosque a group of students performed a play for the class. For a few students it was their first time doing so. Bravo!

Mrs Jurkowski visited to teach us about some of the important parts of a mosque. It was great to learn the names of the places we would see on our visit the following day.

After reading a story about popcorn Nicole said the story made her feel hungry. She was very excited to find out she was going to make popcorn to share with the class straight afterwards.

Painting images to represent our culture on a pot was great fun. Using just the primary colours meant we practised colour mixing too.

We were treated to a lively theatre performance on Wednesday. We loved the little bear character and all got involved in trying to help him be returned to where he belonged.

We mapped all the countries we have been to so far in our lives. For some of us, this took quite a while because we have already been to quite a few.

We were proud of Eliana and Hannah receiving a special School Service award from Ms Simpson for generously using some of their break times to clean all of the speed stacking cups. This was an extra nice thing to happen on Eliana’s birthday. What a lot of exciting events in one week!
