In Grade 2 there has been lots of creativity this week.  Students continue to bring along interesting inventions they have made for Mr Wonka’s factory.

We have done a few different observational drawings.  Each time our observational skills seem to improve.  We have drawn in pencil and crayon. We aim to look for 3 seconds then draw for 3 seconds until we have done our best job of representing the object.  It took a lot of concentration.

We have learned to do ‘Hot Seating’. In this drama activity one person takes on the role of a character we are all familiar with, and others ask them questions.  Asking the questions and answering them required a good deal of thought to use the known information.  The person answering sometimes had to make up a good story.  Sometimes we managed to give the audience a surprise and other times we made them laugh.  For this activity we had to do our best to stay in character.
