Exam season is underway and our IGCSE and Diploma students have been taking them seriously. Throughout this process we have tried to support students with study skills and time management as well as create a focused culture across the secondary school. At the same time we have been coaching students on how to handle the stress with mindfulness workshops. There are 62 exams for IGCSE and the IB Diploma, plus the ones for Grade 7, 8, 9,11 and the Ministry, so teachers are busy too!
A couple of great performances from our basketball players recently with the boys overcoming a strong and physical army team yesterday. They showed grit and determination winning 28 to 27. Our girls also had a very good game earlier in the week against the park team. We have two more games coming up on Monday and Tuesday next week which have been added to the calendar. Please come and show your support if you’re available. ABIS is going from strength to strength in sports like basketball and swimming.
To lighten the atmosphere a little we have participated in the Star Wars fancy dress day (May Fourth/Force be with you) today (see pictures of Mr Lopez and Miss Brewer) and hope that people come and involve themselves in both the Walkathon and Movie this evening. Nothing like watching it on the big screen!
