This week was our final week of inquiring into who we are and how to build positive relationships. We brainstormed wht makes us who we are and put in symbols that represent us into gingerbread men. We also worked with our buddies making mandalas and adding things that show each members identity. Our reading and writing focus this week was on informational texts. We found out what a fact is and had some fun acting out facts about camels. We also wrote our first informational book on an animal of our choice. In Math we introduced the concept of division through the story The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins. We even worked on some division problems using manipulatives. Next week we will begin our new unit “Rocks tell us the story of the earth”. I look forward to our new unit and am looking forward to our field trip.
